Moments later, they started shooting at us. About 13 of our members were killed on the spot,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Anambra Police Command, through its spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed 10 deaths.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Command has condemned the indiscriminate shooting\u2026 Police-led teams have taken over the scene and are investigating to arrest the perpetrators,\u201d Ikenga stated.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the victims were rushed to the hospital, where 10 were confirmed dead and the bodies deposited in the morgue.<\/p>\n<p>The incident has renewed calls for improved security in Anambra\u2019s rural communities, as residents fear further attacks on vulnerable groups.
