{"id":373847,"date":"2025-06-26T08:44:03","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T08:44:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/2025\/06\/26\/joint-security-forces-neutralise-two-armed-robbers-in-kaduna\/"},"modified":"2025-06-26T08:44:03","modified_gmt":"2025-06-26T08:44:03","slug":"joint-security-forces-neutralise-two-armed-robbers-in-kaduna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/ng\/2025\/06\/26\/joint-security-forces-neutralise-two-armed-robbers-in-kaduna\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint Security Forces Neutralise Two Armed Robbers In Kaduna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two armed robbers were killed and two others arrested on Tuesday by operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command in a joint operation with military personnel.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred at Gashash Estate in Barnawa, where eight hoodlums, armed with a locally made pistol and other dangerous weapons, invaded a residential compound and made away with valuables including mobile phones, laptops, wristwatches, gaming consoles, and assorted jewellery.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, said the command received a distress call at about 3:10 a.m., prompting a swift response from the Divisional Police Officer of Barnawa Division.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<p>READ MORE: Veteran American Actor Joe Marinelli Dies At 68<\/p>\n<p>The statement partly reads: \u201cOn June 25, 2025, at about 0310hrs, the command received a distress call from residents of Gashash Estate, Barnawa, reporting that about eight armed hoodlums invaded their compound and robbed occupants of various valuable items including phones, laptops, wristwatches, gaming consoles, and jewellery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon receipt of the call, the Divisional Police Officer of Barnawa Division immediately mobilised patrol teams in conjunction with the DPOs of Kakuri and Sabon Tasha, and a detachment of gallant military personnel from the 312 Artillery Regiment, Kalapanzi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter a strategic pursuit, the suspects were tracked to Makera Main Road in Kakuri. On sighting the security operatives, the robbers engaged them in a fierce gun duel. In the process, two of the armed robbers were neutralised while two others were arrested. The operatives recovered one locally made pistol, ammunition, and several dangerous weapons in their possession.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hassan added that seven mobile phones, three wristwatches, two laptops, two PlayStation gaming consoles, and assorted jewellery stolen from the victims were recovered.<\/p>\n<p>He also confirmed that a police officer sustained injuries during the operation and is currently receiving treatment at the police clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Quoting the Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, Hassan said, \u201cThe Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, commended the swift response and collaboration between the police and the military.
