Sani To Tinubu: Tell Nigerians The Truth About What They Inherited As Contained In The Handover Book

Senator Shehu Sani of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) urged President Bola Tinubu to inform Nigerians on what they inherited from the previous administration, as detailed in the handover book, before asking them to make sacrifices over the next four years.

Senator Sani’s remarks come just a few days after President Bola Tinubu removed fuel subsidy and advised the people to make sacrifices, saying that the money for fuel subsidy will be spent on developing other areas of the country.

Sani, who is dissatisfied with the development, tweeted:

Since President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of fuel subsidy on May 29, millions of Nigerians have paid up to ₦700 for a litre of fuel, raising the cost of transportation across the country.

President Tinubu’s decision is in the best interests of Nigerians, according to those who support his actions, but the Nigeria Labour Congress has criticised the move and plans to strike on June 7 to persuade the government to reverse it.
