Aston Villa stun Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Aston Villa stunned Chelsea 0-2 at Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday to compound the Blue’s misery in the premier league.

The defeat has condemned Chelsea to the 11th position in the league, the worst in decades.

The homers needed to win the match to improve their ranking in the table, but Villa won at Chelsea for the first time in 12 years.

A costly mistake gifted the visitors a golden opportunity to take the lead and they did not disappoint.

Ollie Watkins saw that Kepa Arrizabalaga was off his line and scored with a brilliant lob from the edge of the box for a great finish.

A minute to the end of first half, Kai Havertz ran onto a loose pass inside the box and released a tremendous shot towards the bottom right corner. However, Emiliano Martinez anticipated the shot and made a brilliant save.

Villa made it 0-2 on 56th minute. John McGinn perfectly collected a pass from Jacob Ramsey and unleashed a fantastic long-range strike which went into the bottom right corner.

On 66th minute N’Golo Kante homed in on a magnificent reverse pass from Noni Madueke and struck a crisp shot goalwards that just missed the left post.
