Former Nigerian Senator, Shehu Sani has alleged that many persons in power grab the opportunity to involve their wives and children in the affairs of the Government. He said this in reaction to a pledge reportedly made by the Governor-elect of Kano state.
The Human Rights activist took to his verified Twitter handle to share his thoughts on the alleged misuse of “power” being exercised by many people in the place of power.
Shehu Sani alleged that the family members of some persons in power usually take over political appointments. He said that they are the major “contractor and influencers” of such appointments.
He also expressed satisfaction as the Governor-elect of Kano state allegedly pledged to reverse the “criminality” of such an order. Shehu Sani said that is it a good start and a welcome development.
In his words – ” Many people in power involve their wives & children in the affairs of Government. Their family members are the major contractors & influencers of political appointments. The pledge made by the Kano Governor-elect to reverse this criminality is a good start & a welcome development”.
