The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, and a former Senate President/Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim.
The party also suspended Prof. Dennis Ityavyar and Dr. Aslam Aliyu.
Similarly, the PDP has reported Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom to its Disciplinary Committee for suspected anti-party actions According to Nigeria news agency.
This development was covered in a statement released on Thursday and signed by Debo Ologunagba, the PDP’s national publicity secretary.

“The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has referred the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom to the National Disciplinary Committee over his alleged involvement in anti-party activities in accordance with the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017), after very thoroughly reviewing the Party’s affairs in the nation.
“The NWC also approved the suspension of the following from the Party with effect from today, Thursday, March 23, 2023.
One Ayodele Fayose (Ekiti State)
Pius Anyim, Sen. (Ebonyi State)
Professor Dennis Ityavyar 3. (Benue State)
4. Aslam Aliyu Dr. (Zamfara State)
