OFFICIAL: La Liga Side Sack Their Manager After Losing His Last Game

La Liga side Valencia has sacked their coach Gennaro Gattuso after losing his last league game against Real Valladolid on Sunday afternoon. The Italian manager has been struggling to keep the Spanish side in shape since his appointment at the beginning of the season.

Valencia released an official statement on their website to confirm the sacking of Gennaro Gattuso.

“Valencia CF announces that this Monday, January 30th, the club and the first team coach, Gennaro Gattuso, have decided by mutual agreement to end the contractual relationship between the two parties,” the club confirmed.

“The club wish to thank Gattuso for his commitment and work during his time in charge and wish him the best of luck for the future.”

The Spanish side also confirmed that their former manager ‘Voro’ GonzĆ”lez will take over the training tomorrow.

“The team will return to training this Tuesday, January 31st, under ‘Voro’ GonzĆ”lez,” the club added.
