Give my mum a hug for me – Comedian, Seyi Law pays tribute to late Sammie Okposo

Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, better known as Seyi Law has joined his colleagues in the entertainment industry to pay tribute to late Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo.

Kemi Filani News reported that Sammie Okposo died on Friday morning 25th November 2022 at the age of fifty-one. According to reports, the ‘Welu Welu’ crooner slumped at his residence and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Seyi Law pays tribute to Sammie Okposo

Seyi Law took to his Instagram page to pay tribute to late Sammie Okposo.

Sharing a video of himself and the late singer, Seyi Law reminisced on the words the singer used to say to him and asked that the singer gives his mum a hug on his behalf in heaven. He also prayed that God grants fortitude to his loved ones left behind.

He wrote: Uncle Sammie, Rest In Power and sing those powerful praises in heaven. Please give my mum a hug for me. Your words, “this Seyi no well o, how you take dey think all these things.” God, please comfort your wife and everyone you left behind. Rest on the soldier of Christ and minister of songs.

Celebrities mourn Sammie Okposo

Sammie Okposo marital scandal

Before his death, Okposo made headlines early in the year after he publicly apologized to his wife, Ozioma for cheating on her with another lady in the United States.

In the apology which was shared on his Instagram page, the singer lamented over the incident which he noted happened in 2021.

The singer further stated that the development has seen him step aside from ministerial work until “full restoration.”
