NSCDC Recovers 21,000 Litres Of PMS In Badagry

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has recovered 21,600 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, from suspected oil vandals in the Badagry, Lagos.

Reports reaching our correspondents disclosed that during a patrol on Tuesday night, the marine and anti-vandal team of the Badagry division seized 720 kegs filled with 30 litres of petrol each.

Our correspondents further disclosed that the raid happened around Yafin creek, as the suspected vandals were about to smuggle the fuel to neighbouring Benin Republic. The vandals were also reported to have fled when they got wind of NSCDC’s presence in the area.

Chief Superintendent Akinyemi Ayodeji, the Badagry Divisional Officer, NSCDC, said the value of the recovered petrol was N4m.
