The Bandits Were Migrating To The Area When Military Patrol Troops Saw Them And Engaged -Kaduna Govt

The Nigerian military has again recorded some success in the continued war against insurgency, banditry and terrorism in the country. Recall that these past weeks have been full of reports of military airstrikes, rooting out bandits and terrorists from their rat holes in the North Eastern part of the country.

However, according to recent reports, the Nigerian military have neutralised some bandits who were migrating to an area around Ungwan Namama and along the Zaria-Kano road, Kaduna State. Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, made this known in a statement on Thursday.

He said that the military troops, who were on their usual patrol, came in contact with the migrating bandits in the area and engaged them, forcing them to abandon their three captives and some livestock.

According to the commissioner, the military were able to rescue the three captives and some nine rustled animals which it is believed, the bandits took from a neighbouring state. The captives, identified as: Abdullahi Lawal, Sadiya Salimanu, Fatima Salimanu (Sadiya’s 10-month-old child), have been reunited with their families.

What do you think of the successes recorded by the military these past few days?
