China, India To Send Troops To Russia.

China’s People’s Liberation Army will send troops to Russia to participate in the “East-2022” drills.

The East-2022 is also called the Vostok-2022 and this was disclosed by the Chinese Ministry of Defense on Wednesday, according to CNN.

“China’s participation in the exercise is aimed at deepening practical and friendly cooperation with the armies of the participating countries,” the ministry added.

Buhari approves three orthopedic hospitals in Edo, Plateau, Taraba.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of three additional orthopedic hospitals. Health Minister, Osagie Ehanire, made the announcement on Wednesday at the inauguration of the Primary Health Care(PHC) Leadership Challenge at the State House.

The event was organised by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) in collaboration with development partners.

Ehanire disclosed that the President approved siting of the orthopedic hospital in three regions.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said he is pleased with the administration of Ogun Governor, Dapo Abiodun, declaring the Governor has done well.

Tinubu who gave this verdict at the M.K.O Abiola Int’l Stadium, Abeokuta venue of the Artisan Day 2022 with the theme “The role of Artisans in tackling the menace of youth and women unemployment”, noted he is proud of the various infrastructural drive of the Governor.

PDP congratulates IBB at 81.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated former Military President, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, on his 81st birthday.

The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Debo Ologunagba, in Abuja on Wednesday, described Babangida as a courageous leader.

It also described him as a statesman and nationalist, who remained exceptionally loyal and committed to national unity, stability and economic development.

Electricity workers suspend strike for 2 weeks.

The leadership of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), says the union has suspended ongoing strike by its members that has thrown most parts of the country into darkness for the past 24 hours.

The suspension of the strike followed intervention by the Ministers of Labour, Mr Chris Ngige, Mr Abubakar Aliyu, Powe as well as the Minister of State for Power, Mr Goddy Jedy-Agba, and the representative of the Head of Service, Mr Godfrey Abah, the Chairman, FCT chapter of NUEE told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday.
