KEDCO assures of improved supply, as electricity workers suspend nationwide strike

Following the cessation of the strike by employees at the Transmission Company of Nigeria, the Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has guaranteed its countless consumers of a better power supply (TCN).

This was stated in a statement made on Thursday in Kano by Ibrahim Shawai, Deputy General Manager, Corporate Communications, KEDCO.

Due to the successful conclusion of the yesterday in Abuja held conciliatory conference between the Federal Government and the striking electrical employees.

The feeders that supply our franchise with electricity have finally been repaired.

He stated, “TCN wheel electricity to Kano DisCo with 40 megawatts, and the wheeled energy has now reached 140 megawatts, and more is expected in the next few hours.

Customers in Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa received praise from Shawai for their patience during the strike.

Additionally, he urged residents of KEDCO and other franchise areas to report any attempt to vandalize installations, which frequently had an adverse effect on supplies.
