Why Chelsea’s Delayed Transfer Moves Could Be Risky

So far so good in the summer transfer window, Chelsea Football Club are yet to complete a single signing despite their interest in several players across Europe. The West Londoners have been linked to the likes of Raphinha, Raheem Sterling, and even De Ligt but they haven’t confirmed the signing of any of these players yet.

Well, the transfer window still has a long duration but that shouldn’t make Chelsea relax and not go all out to sign top-class players ahead of the upcoming season. I believe the Blues’ delayed transfer moves could be risky if they don’t hasten up and start signing players. From experience, we know how clubs can easily hijack the signing of some players linked heavily to a particular club.

For the Blues not to be a victim of such they need to quickly start making key transfer moves. Procrastination might lead them to not sign any key player before the new season begins. The Chelsea Transfer Committee had lots of work to do to ensure the team is stacked up with new players ahead of their campaign next season.
