Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is looking to win the UEFA Champions League for the fourth time, the most by any coach in the competition’s history.

Ancelotti who said in his pre match interview that he is still an Evertonian and the final on Saturday evening against Liverpool feel like a derby. He won one and drew two of his last three Premier League meetings as Everton boss. He only lost to Jurgen Klopp’s side during his time at Everton in the FA CUP third round.

The Italian won the La Liga title this season with Real Madrid becoming the first manager to win titles in each of Europe’s top five leagues. He has won titles in Spain, England, Italy, France and Germany.

However, Ancelotti faced Liverpool in the 1984 Champions League final as a player, then in 2005 and 2007 as a manager. He has faced Liverpool as a manager on a fewer than 16 occasions over the years winning eight times and loosing just five. Ancelotti is the first manager to win the European cup three times with two different clubs and on the verge of overtaking Zinedine Zidane and Bob paisley to become the first to win it four times.
