A few days ago, Rift Valley Police Commander, George Natembeya willfully resigned from his job to run for the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat. However, after he resigned, the President, Uhuru Kenyatta offered him a new job at his office which according to reports he has walked away from. Natembeya has served as the regional commander for many years and it seems he is no longer interested in working for the government.
A report by Kenyans.co.ke on their official twitter page said that Natembeya had walked away from the new job and said he is not taking the job as he has many days to serve notice.
“I have resigned from the government and I’m not taking the new position at the president’s office. I have enough leave days to serve notice,” Natembeya said as reported by Kenyans.co.
