Schools Across The County Given New Direction By The Ministry Of Education.

PS Kipsang escapes civil jail term in contempt case

The school calendar has normalized following two years of disruption by covid 19 that broke out in 2020. This implies teachers have time to plan for all school activities as it is required. However, sometimes teachers plan some activities like external examinations and mocks that eat into learning time.

It is for this reason that the Ministry of Education has reminded schools across the country that Mock and joint examinations remain banned. In a letter to County Directors of Education, Basic Education PS Belio Kipsang directed all schools to desist from holding any inter-school examinations, citing that the latter will interfere with the school calendar, leading to inadequate learning time.

The directive is really important, as it will also reduce cost bared by parents in sponsoring the examinations among other costs that may come with school programs. Field officers from the ministry of education have to supervise this in schools.
