Nigerian Ex-first lady Dame, Patience Jonathan has been ordered by the Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, 1st of July 2019 to fortify $8.4 million and N9.2 billion to the Federal Government.

Justice Mojisola Olatoregun held that Mrs Jonathan could not prove the legitimacy of the money, therefore, the money is reasonably suspected to be have been gotten from crime.
She also granted an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stating that the funds be permanently forfeited.
