Swaleh Mdoe, a well-known Citizen TV Swahili presenter, has taken his regular edu-entertainment Tafakari Ya Babu tales to the next level by introducing his new show.
On Tuesday, August 23, the presenter told Kenyans.co.ke that the new show will showcase a bunch of children, presumably his grandkids, who heed his advice. Tafakari Ya Babu Swaleh will be the moniker of the series, which will launch on his YouTube channel towards the end of August 2022.

Swaleh will play the part of a grandparent in each episode, with duration based on the storyline, contrary to Citizen TV, where he merely pulls out his tale for about a minute. He will cover several topics that will provide audiences and his fans with comedic relief. The viewer will remain intrigued due to the hypothetical questions after each narrative.
The Producer of the show Julius Muthusi argues that Tafakari Ya Babu Swaleh on YouTube will be more educational and give Swaleh a chance to share experiences and knowledge with people.
“We are developing Babu Swaleh as a distinct brand from Swaleh the TV presenter,” he saidÂ
Swaleh began his news career in 1999 at NTV as a news presenter till 2001. He later moved to KTN, where he spent seven years as the news editor for Swahili broadcasts before moving on to Citizen TV.
