He cited shifting political dynamics that have rendered its continued membership untenable.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"451\" data-end=\"607\"><em data-start=\"451\" data-end=\"580\">\u201cKindly take notice that our stay in Kenya Kwanza Coalition is no longer tenable due to the prevailing political developments,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the letter read in part.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"753\">The party invoked the Termination Clause (8) of the coalition agreement, setting its exit in motion within 30 days of issuing the notice.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"958\"><em data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"935\">\u201cDemocratic Party of Kenya, vide this letter, hereby gives a thirty (30) day notice to exit the Coalition as stipulated in the Termination Clause (8) in the Coalition Agreement,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0the statement added.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"1137\">The letter was also copied to the Registrar of Political Parties and the Secretary Generals of Ford Kenya, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), and Maendeleo Chap Chap Party.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1139\" data-end=\"1318\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Muturi\u2019s decision to cut ties with Kenya Kwanza comes amid his increasing criticism of the government, particularly after his son\u2019s abduction in June 2024.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Democratic Party of Kenya (DPK), led by Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi, has announced its decision to exit the Kenya Kwanza alliance.
