Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu has alleged that President William Ruto’s close allies are increasingly worried about his chances of securing a second term in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a public forum in Subukia, Senator Nyutu boldly stated that Ruto will be a one-term president. He encouraged unregistered voters to ensure they are listed ahead of the next election.
“That man, William Ruto, must go home. So those who don’t have voter’s cards should go and get them,” said Senator Nyutu.

The senator went on to express satisfaction, claiming that members of Ruto’s inner circle have started sensing defeat. He pointed to Farouk Kibet, President Ruto’s personal assistant, as an example.
According to Nyutu, Farouk has already begun preparing for life after Ruto’s presidency by positioning himself for a parliamentary seat in his home region.
“But I’m happy. Do you know why? Even Ruto’s people now know he’s going home. Farouk Kibet, right now, because he knows Ruto is going home, has started looking for a parliamentary seat,” Nyutu said.
His remarks came shortly after police allegedly attempted to block the rally in Subukia. Despite the disruption, the meeting went on, with leaders present using the platform to criticize President Ruto’s leadership.
