Grief as Bodaboda Rider Kills Wife, Commits Suicide By Hanging Himself Inside His Bedroom

Gikumbo Village in Karumandi, Gichugu Constituency, is reeling from shock and sorrow after a couple was discovered dead in their home in what authorities suspect to be a murder-suicide case.

The discovery was made by their children, who found their parents’ lifeless bodies inside their bedroom.

Investigations reveal that the husband, a 41-year-old boda boda rider, allegedly stabbed his 38-year-old wife, Edith, before taking his own life by hanging from the ceiling.

Edith’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the bed, while the husband’s lifeless body was found dangling from the roof.

While the precise motive remains unknown, neighbors recalled seeing the couple together the previous evening at the market where Edith ran a small business.

Law enforcement officers responded promptly to the distress call, securing the scene for initial investigations.

The bodies of the deceased were transported to the Kerugoya Level 5 Hospital mortuary, where postmortem examinations are expected to shed further light on the tragedy.
