Russia Sends A Message To Kenyans Telling Them This

The Russian government through its embassy has sent a message to all Kenyans wishing them a happy Madaraka Day. On Thursday Kenyans led by president William Ruto celebrated the day they became independent in a colorful state led event held at the Moi Stadium in Embu county.

“Happy 60th Madaraka Day to all Kenyan friends!” The Russian embassy to K3nya said in a tweet.

Kenya and Russia have maintained close ties for many years and in recent years their bilateral ties have grown. This week the Russian minister for foreign affairs arrived in Kenya where he held several meetings with president William Ruto. The two leaders agreed on how they will improve the cooperation between the two countries.
