Mutahi: Ruto Is Being Bullied By The Big Boys Of Politics But If We Bring Him Down, We Go Down Too

Amid the intense attacks and criticism that President William Ruto has been lately facing especially from the Azimio leadership led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga regarding his governance, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has reacted to the same with a speculation of what’s really going on and how to move forward.

According to Mutahi Ngunyi who was a big supporter of Raila Odinga ahead of the August 2022 elections but has assumed a neutral position over the recent months, President Ruto who miraculously won the Presidential race in his first attempt unlike his predecessors is basically being bullied by “political veterans” who probably want to derail him or want have it rough at his job.

Taking to Twitter this evening on June 2nd 2023, the analyst however called on Kenyans to stop focusing only on the mistakes that the President has been making but instead give him time for him to deliver on his manifesto and ultimately correct those mistakes because we’re all human and everyone makes mistakes at one point or another.

That in any case, he’s still the custodian of our popular will, having risen to the position courtesy of the popular vote and therefore giving him time instead of pulling him down is good for the nation.

His Twitter post read that “Ruto is being bullied by the big boys of politics. He is making mistakes, alright and all leaders do.

But he is still the custodian of our popular will and if we bring him down, we go down with him.

I say that we give him a chance and he will self-correct. It is good for the soul of the nation.”
