NEWS JUST IN: Student Casualties Reported After University Bus Head-on Collision, New Details Emerge

On March 30, a bus carrying Pwani University students overturned in the Kayole region of the Nairobi-Naivasha Highway, injuring several of the passengers.

According to accounts, the bus was transporting more than 30 kids to Eldoret for a sporting event.

After the catastrophe, schoolchildren were seen on camera helping one another from the rubble.

A 14-seater matatu was struck by the bus before it turned over.

According to early reports, the bus’s failed brakes were to blame for the tragedy. The same has not yet been verified, though.

After the event, police and emergency personnel came on the site to clear the traffic jam that had developed on the roadway.

Also, drivers using the route were urged to drive carefully as they approached the area.

The Police are still investigating on the cause of the accident and road users have been urged to be more cautious when using these roads.
