Man Utd: Williams to Face Punishment, Malacia Urged to Work Harder, and Pellistri’s Call Up

Manchester United defender Brandon Williams is likely to be cut off completely from the squad after he was recently recorded in a video partaking in “bong” smoking. The 20 year old is currently being investigated by club so that further proof can be collected against him. His punishment is likely to be given this week.

“There is definitely no way that Brandon Williams will escape Erik Ten Hag’s wrath after being found guilty for his misdoings. Next season he will definitely be playing for another club, probably in the Championship if Norwich City don’t end up signing him permanently. He has been a misfit in the squad since the start of this season,” remarked Gary Neville.

Dutch left back Tyrell Malacia is also not getting the Attention he deserves both at club and international level. His agent has been trying to talks to both Ronald Koeman and Erik Ten Hag about giving the player more game time on the pitch but his pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Since Alex Telles will be returning to the squad at the end of next season, there is a chance that Malacia could be allowed to leave to another club on loan.

My opinion

Fercundo Pellistri is living the dream in the Uruguay National team since he is a regular for his country. However, with the rumors that the National team head coach could be sacked in the next few weeks, there is need for the player to put in more work so that he can still stand out for the next manager. That means that Ten Hag must give the younger more exposure on the pitch so that he can gain more confidence.

The same can also be said about Alejandro Garnacho who is vying for a call up for his National team. Unlike Pellistri, Garnacho is yet to receive his international call up but that is understandable since the quality and experience in the National team is massive for him to compete with. With more game time however he could strengthen his case as a worthy contender.
