Mourinho Explains Why Juventus Should Not Play In The Europa League

Juventus Football Club first participated in a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) competition in 1958.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) announced months ago that Juventus had been deducted 15 points for “financial irregularities” and “false accounting” in relation to historic transfer dealings – the exchange of players between clubs.

Juventus has scored a total of 44 goals this season in Serie A this season despite having a bad season. Juventus were eliminated from the Champions League Group stages, and were forced into the Europa League round of 16.

Jose Mourinho who is the head coach of Roma has stated why teams that were eliminated from the championship league should not be allowed to participate in the Europa League. José Mourinho: “Juventus shouldn’t be in the Europa League. There are teams that just shouldn’t be there. If you get eliminated from the competition, you need to go home. UEL is won by a team that dropped out of the UCL, it doesn’t make any sense to me.”
