Preparations for president William Ruto’s three- day working tour in Gusii region are in top gear.
Today leaders from the region visited Getacho primary school grounds in Gesusu ward in preparation of education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu thanksgiving and homecoming fete to be held in the grounds tomorrow.
Education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu led the region leadership in inspecting the grounds to host his mega homecoming event.
According to photos shared by local Kisii Hot TV on its official Facebook page, education cabinet secretary Machogu was accompanied by immediate former Kisii governor James Ongwae, host Nyaribari Masaba legislator Daniel Manduku, Kitutu Chache North legislator Japeth Nyakundi among other elected leaders from the region.
” Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu and other leaders currently at Getacho primary school in Gesusu ward where the homecoming ceremony of the cabinet secretary will be hosted tomorrow” reported Kisii Hot TV.
President William Ruto, deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and other senior Government officials in Kenya Kwanza administration are expected to attend the event.
The head of state will begin his three- day tour in the region today and is scheduled to launch and inspect new projects in Kisii and Nyamira counties.
According to Kitutu Chache North legislator who doubles as UDA party treasurer Japeth Nyakundi, president Ruto and his delegation will on Friday morning tour his constituency before heading to Nyaribari Masaba for CS Ezekiel Machogu homecoming fete.
” Friday 24th March 2023 he will pay a courtesy visit to the people of Kitutu Chache North before proceeding to Nyaribari Masaba for the homecoming ceremony of education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu” posted MP Japeth Nyakundi yesterday.
Kisii county leadership allied to Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by majority chief whip in national assembly Silvanus Osoro are expected to flank the head of state and his deputy in their three- day tour in the region.
Yesterday State House spokesperson Hussein Mohammed also revealed that the head of state will visit Kuria West and Kuria East Constituencies in Migori county during his visit in the region.
