The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition officially started the mass actions on Monday 20th March 2023. The protests began and happened all across the nation. In some areas, police officers were forced to use excess power as demonstrators did. Use of teargas was one of the most common way to stop the protests was used.
Babu Owino, one of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition affiliate, has found himself on a tight corner. This was after Kenyans online ganged up against him following his post. On Monday, during the National wide protests, a student from Maseno University was shot dead. Reports claim that the student used excess power during the demos.
Taking into account of his Facebook page, Babu Owino posted a photo of the police officer who allegedly shot dead the student. Upon posting, Kenyans didn’t welcome the Embakasi East Member of Parliament lightly. Kenyans ganged up against him and reacted on the same.
One of the questions that Kenyans raised as they ganged up against Babu Owino, they recalled what the Azimio politician did to one of the DJ. Babu Owino is accused of shooting DJ Evolve in a bar. Below are some of the mixed reactions from Kenyans.
