Man Utd: Fans Choose Perfect Stand-In for Eriksen After Latest Transfer News Emerge

Manchester United have been hit by a big blow after it was recently revealed that Christian Eriksen took a big hit while playing against Reading. The injury could rule him out against Crystal Palace on the weekend after Erik Ten Hag admitted that the preliminary reports from the medical team were not good. Fans have nonetheless urged the club to make one more signing in James Madison to fill in the void.

“Manchester United can make a late move on James Madison as a justifiable replacement for Christian Eriksen. The manager was very clear that the club will do something about Eriksen’s situation but so far nothing worthwhile has been reported. If they manage to contact Madison, I think they can take it on from there,” reported Kevin Campbell.

James Madison has been a trailblazer this season for Leicester City but Injury has seen him hooked from the starting eleven for the past three weeks. Brendan Rodgers has been struggling to sign a new replacement for him in the market, but has only managed to sign Tete from Lyon on loan until the end of the season. Madison is however back from injury but is a few trainings short of being fully fit.

My opinion

James Madison is open to a move from Leicester because the Foxes this season have been absolute shambles. Brendan Rodgers has managed to wriggle the club out of the relegation zone but the belief in the dressing room has been very worrying this season and the 25 year old definitely needs a change of scenery.

Signing James Madison seems like a long shot at the moment but he could be the key to a lot of Manchester United problems. He could easily dislodge Bruno Fernandes in the starting eleven because he has more strengths in his gameplay and that could push the Portuguese to unlock his full potential.
