List of 13 State Corporations Set For Privatisation As Sony Sugar, Kengen And KPA Top

The government is set to embark on a privatization move for a number of state corporations. These are corporations which according to them make no profit and therefore they’ll be better off sold to individuals. The argument has been that they will still be able to make up to thirty percent profit from them even after privatization.

The list of corporation’s set for sale are as illustrated below.

The New Kenya Creameries Corporation where the government is a 100% shareholder will be up for sale.Second is the Kenya Keet Commission also owned100% by the government, Kenya Ports Authority (Devt of berths, stevedoring services, and the Eldoret container terminal are all up for sale.

Kabarnet Hotel which is owned by the Kenya Tea Development Authority alongside the Wast African Portland Cement will be on the market as well. Three sugar companies that have been grappling with debts, in Sony Sugar, Nzoia and Chemelil are set to be privatized as well.
