Revealed: Gideon Moi And Kioni Among Big Names Lined Up For EALA Nominations

Details about the potential members most likely to win seats in the East African Legislative Assembly have leaked as the National Assembly and Senate prepare for the screening of applicants for those positions.

Reliable sources claim that the Raila Odinga-led Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party has a strong list of candidates lined up for the nominations.

Some of them are influential politicians who lost in the August elections, while others are people connected to the heads of the affiliated parties.

Former Baringo senator and KANU party chairman Gideon Moi, former Ndaragwa constituency member of Parliament and Jubilee party secretary-general Jeremiah Kioni, former prime minister Raila Odinga’s daughter Winnie Odinga, and Wiper party leader are some of the candidates who are likely to win the positions.

Others include KANU Secretary-General Nick Salat, Hon Asman Kamama, a former Member of Parliament from the Tiaty Constituency, and Jalang’o Midiwo, a former Member of Parliament from the Gem Constituency.

Kenya will send nine representatives to the assembly, with the majority party having the most representatives. The selection of candidates for vetting will be made by the vetting committee.
