The August 9th 2022 General Elections are quickly approaching and gaining momentum as leaders seeking various political posts heighten their campaigns and charm offensive tours.
Popular parties are continuing to unveil aspirants who will be flying their tickets for various positions up for grabs in the August poll as the deadline for conducting party primaries comes to an end today.
Both Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party and the newly revamped Jubilee Party led by President Uhuru Kenyatta are battling to control the vote-rich Mt Kenya which has over 5.5 Million votes. The parties are also fielding strong candidates in the 8 counties, in a show of who will win as many elected seats as possible.
In Murang’a County, the parties have also unveiled their full list of candidates for the seven parliamentary seats, 1 Women Representative post, 1 Gubernatorial seat and the 1 Senatorial seat.
