Perhaps, Central Kenya has caused big headaches among the top political leaders as they aim to win more fraction ahead of the August general election.

Certainly, Deputy President William Ruto in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) under the Kenya Kwanza is competing with the former prime minister Raila Odinga in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) under the Azimio la Umoja coalition umbrella. Furthermore, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party support Raila Odinga in the Azimio la Umoja ahead of his succession contest.

Consequently, Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto have ideological differences ranging from their supporters.
