Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has made a big political announcement after declaring intrest in the County Senatorial seat ahead of the August General elections.The Outgoing Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana announced on 4th March, Friday that he will make return into elective politics after his term ends in August. Kivutha had previously expressed intrest in the Presidency but halted his dreams to support ODM Leader Raila Odinga bid. Kivutha Kibwana announced he has defected from Wiper Democratic Party lead by Kalonzo Musyoka; which he defended the 2017 Gubernatorial seat with and will be vying the Makueni Senetorial seat on a Muungano Party ticket.
Kibwana recently blasted Kalonzo Musyoka on NTV interview and stated the Wiper Party Leader is overrated as he showed his new support for Raila Odinga. Kibwana defended Odinga on the 2017 agreement with Kalonzo stating that it ended with NASA which is a dead Political coalition after fall out of principals Mudavadi, Wetangula & Isaac Ruto who joined Dp Ruto Kenya Kwanza alliance.
