Legendary Ghanaian music producer Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, has weighed in on the rumoured rift between Daddy Lumba’s two wives, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni.
Following the demise of the late music icon on Saturday, July 26, 2025, allegations of a rift between his two wives have trended on social media.
Despite contrary public claims from Daddy Lumba’s manager, Roman Fada, the rumours have persisted, with many Ghanaian netizens supporting the camps of Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni.
The sister of the late musician, Faustina Fosu, later released a video to beg all parties in the alleged feud to cease, as they were tarnishing her late brother’s image.
Appietus advises Odo Broni over alleged feud
In a recent interview seen by YEN.com.gh on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Appietus warned Odo Broni to consider her children’s future before engaging in an unnecessary feud with Akosua Serwaa.
The legendary music producer noted her alleged actions against Akosua Serwaa could impact her children when they grow older.
He warned that Daddy Lumba’s second wife could face hardship and not receive any financial support from her close allies and Ghanaians who have encouraged her to feud with Akosua Serwaa.
Appietus, who had a close relationship with Daddy Lumba for many years, recounted his first encounter with the late highlife musician’s second wife.
The music producer advised Odo Broni against being dragged into a legal dispute with her “sister wife,” Akosua Serwaa, over their late husband’s vast wealth.
He noted that she would easily lose a case if her alleged issues with Daddy Lumba’s first wife were presented before a judge.
He said:
“Don’t let the woman take you to court. You have no power. You will cry when the judge gives the final verdict in the courtroom. It will be too late. You will appeal, but nothing will change.”
Appietus advised Odo Broni to visit Akosua Serwaa and apologise to her, stating that the latter had a legal claim to their late husband’s properties.
The legendary music producer called on her to ignore the counsel of friends and family and settle the alleged disputes with the first wife before Daddy Lumba’s burial service.
“Don’t go struggle with the woman (Akosua Serwaa). Go and apologise to her because your children are Daddy Lumba’s. Don’t listen to people.”
He argued that Ghanaian marriage laws favoured Akosua Serwaa and that she could plead her case against Odo Broni if their matter ended up in court.

Recall that Ajagurajah released a prophecy about Daddy Lumba following his demise at the age of 60 and weighed in on the alleged dispute between his two wives, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni.
