Allegations have surfaced regarding the Electricity Company of Ghana’s (ECG) procurement practices during the eight-year administration of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. A political commentator and columnist, P.K. Sarpong, claimed that ECG employed the services of two lawyers, Dr. Dominic Ayine and Edudzi Tameklo, to justify procurements made without necessary approvals from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
