Community leaders urged to unite against drug abuse

 Twifo Praso (C/R), March 23, GNA- Community leaders in Twifo Atti- Morkwa have made a strong call to action, urging leaders to guide their youth away from drug abuse and focus on peace and unity among all faiths. 

Alhaji Osman Fusen Musah, District Imam for Twifo-Atti- Morkwa Central Mosque, expressed deep concern over the destructive impact of drug abuse on the youth that violated the tenets of major religions. 

He made the call during the Eid-ul-Fitr festival at Twifo Praso. 

Mr Theophilus  Vondee, Member of Parliament for  Twifo-Atti-Morkwa constituency, and Mr Hakim Adae, Central Regional Council of State reiterated calls to all religious groups in the country to uphold peace and unity, stressing that despite diverse beliefs, “we are one people.” 

Mr Isaac Yawson, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo-Atti-Morkwa, reassured Islamic schools in the area that the government would soon post more teachers to the area to enhance academic performance.
