Individuals from Ghana’s entertainment industry on Saturday, May 30, gathered at the Green Flavour Events Centre in Community 9, Tema, for a one-week remembrance vigil in honour of the late actress and entrepreneur, Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah.

The solemn event brought together family, friends, colleagues, and admirers to celebrate the life and legacy of the actress, whose passing has sparked widespread grief across the creative arts industry.

Guests, dressed predominantly in black and red attire, participated in worship and praise sessions, scripture readings, tributes, special musical performances, and a sermon.

The vigil reached an emotional climax with a torch-lighting ceremony and the release of balloons into the sky. Many attendees appeared visibly distressed, with some shedding tears as they paid their final respects.

Among the actors and actresses present were Selassie Ibrahim, Nikki Samonas, Gloria Osei Sarfo, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Roselyn Ngissah, Portia Asare, Pascal Amanfo, Salinko, Joselyn Dumas, Vicky Zugah, Kalybos, former actor and MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, Eunice Banini, and Salma Mumin.

Gospel musician Gifty Adorye and secular musician Nana Boroo were also present.

Speaking during the event, Caleb Afaglo, the deceased actress’s brother, reflected on her faith during her final days.

“She was a woman of faith. She was tired of the poking in her arms, legs and hands and strongly believed that God was going to give her peace,” he said.

Beverly Ama Afaglo-Baah passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 42.

Her death has been widely mourned within Ghana’s entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans paying tribute to her contributions as an actress and entrepreneur.

Her final funeral rites are scheduled to take place on August 7, 2026.
