Samuel Alito Mocks Prince Harry Over Roe v. Wade, Is Such a Pompous A$$

As you have undoubtedly heard by now, Roe v. Wade was overturned by the United States Supreme Court on June 24, 2022.

This means that abortion is no longer a federally-protected right in this country.

But while various stars across Hollywood were outraged by this judicial decision, there’s at least one man who strongly believes it was the right call.

And that man, Justice Samuel Alito, is now taking an obnoxious victory lap.

Alito, one of the conservative judges on the Supreme Court who voted to do away with Roe v. Wade last month, spoke several days ago at the University of Notre Dame Law School in Rome.

He used the opportunity to roast foreign leaders who weighed in against this abortion reversal — while also making fun of Prince Harry.

Yes, Justice Samuel Alito mocked Prince Harry in a public setting.

“I had the honor this term of writing I think the only Supreme Court decision in the history of the institution that has been lambasted by a whole string of foreign leaders who felt perfectly fine commenting on American law,” said Alito at the aforementioned event.

Continued Alito, referencing the British Prime Minister, who recently stepped down, as well as two other well-known heads of state:

“One of these was former PM Boris Johnson, but he paid the price. Others are still in office, President Macron and PM Trudeau are two.”

Of Prince Harry?

“But what really wounded me was when the Duke of Sussex addressed the UN and seemed to compare the decision – whose name may not be spoken – with the Russian attack on Ukraine,” Alito said, prompting laughs from the crowd.

Alito added:

“Well, despite this temptation I am not going to talk about cases from other countries.

“All I am going to say is ultimately, if we are going to win the battle to protect religious freedom in an increasingly secular society, we will need more than positive law.”

Alito has served on the Supreme Court since 2006 after being appointed by former President George W. Bush.

Prince Harry in Grey Suit

The Duke of Sussex’s spoke to the general assembly of the UN on July 18 for Nelson Mandela Day, where he waded into U.S. politics while describing a “global assault on democracy and freedom.”

Taking a clear dig at the Roe reversal, Meghan Markle’s handsome half also said:

“From the horrific war in Ukraine to the rolling back of constitutional right in the U.S., we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom, the cores of Mandela’s life.”

Conservatives hit out at Prince Harry in response, with Meghan McCain saying, for example:

“Today was a missed opportunity to keep the focus on one of the truly great global leaders of all time, Nelson Mandela.”
