He also heavily criticized IBA Sukkur over poor management, an insufficient number of test centers, lack of basic facilities, and alleged unfair grading.

Addressing a press conference at the party’s Bahadurabad headquarters on Monday, Dr. Farooq Sattar questioned the fees collected by IBA Sukkur, asking where the money went and noting a complete lack of accountability. He pointed out that students were charged a whopping Rs 9,000 for the test but were given no facilities, with many forced to take the exam outdoors in extreme heat.

The experienced politician highlighted that only two centers were established for 12,000 candidates in Karachi out of the 33,000 appearing across Sindh. By contrast, 16 centers were established in Peshawar for 16,000 students.

He also questioned why centers were selected along University Road—a stretch that has remained in a dilapidated state for years—especially when students were asked to report as early as 6:00 AM.

Further criticizing IBA Sukkur, Dr. Sattar held the institution responsible for failing to provide adequate facilities and accused it of bias in awarding marks. Demanding a thorough investigation into the grading system, he remarked sarcastically that if such marking trends continue, a student might be awarded 200 out of 180 next year.

He expressed astonishment that not a single student from Karachi secured a top position on the merit list.

Dr. Sattar noted that no one questioned the MDCAT between 2009 and 2019 when it was conducted by the National Testing Service (NTS), adding that controversies only began once the Sindh government took control of the process.

He characterized MDCAT 2026 as a conspiracy by the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), alleging that the party has controlled the province for 18 years and occupied all its institutions.
