Alison Hammond Claims Panic Attack Caused Her To Walk Off This Morning Set Mid-Broadcast
During a segment in Fridayās edition of This Morning, Alison was seen abruptly leaving the This Morning, gasping and clutching her chest.
She did not return to the set during the broadcast, and later shared a video from a medical facility, where she disclosed that she was having her heart tested as a precaution.
āHonestly, I am fine, first of all ā but Iām getting my old ticker checked out,ā the Great British Bake Off presenter explained. āI had a little bit of a palpation, and now, Iām getting it all checked out.
āBut I think Iām OK ā Iām hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that.ā

Indeed, the following day, Alison shared another video to her Instagram story, confirming that doctors had given her an āall-clearā after her tests on Friday.
ā[That] would mean I had a massive panic attack on live TV. I mean, the shame of it,ā she joked (as reported by BBC News).
Alison explained: āIt felt very real to me. Iām really new to panic attacks, so I need to learn more about it.ā
She added that the support shown by her This Morning colleagues, NHS staff and members of the public had āwarmed my heartā, noting: āI didnāt necessarily want to be on the news or anything like that but this is a new world to me.
āIām going to take stock, take some rest and Iāll see you soon.ā
