TalkTalk snapped up by telecoms rival in dramatic overnight rescue after broadband firm collapses into administration

BROADBAND firm TalkTalk has been snapped up by a rival telecoms giant in a dramatic overnight rescue.BT has bought TalkTalk and PlatformX out of administration in a bid to protect the broadband service of the firm’s 2.5million customers.In a statement this morning, BT said the deal aimed to avoid causing material harm to vulnerable customers and key emergency services.
