Car crashes into two Sioux City businesses on Northside
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – A car crashed into two Sioux City businesses on the Northside just before 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
The crash impacted JC Wholesale and neighboring business Kung Fu Tea.
Sgt. Van Roekel with the Sioux City Police Department tells KTIV the crash was the result of an inexperienced driver hitting the gas pedal instead of the brakes.
KTIV spoke to the owner of Kung Fu Tea, Mary Nguyen, who says they were given the okay by police to continue business.
The crash happened before Kung Fu Tea opened for the day. Kung Fu Tea staff say they are thankful no customers were inside when it happened.
Nguyen says they will remain open while making repairs, however the business will be limited to take-out and pick-up orders for now.
