Sri Lanka’s first 13-member group reaches Islamabad ahead of three-match series
The Sri Lankan cricketers have begun arriving in Pakistan for the T20I series, with the first 13-member group reaching Islamabad ahead of the three-match contest.
The group includes eight players from the T20I squad and five team management officials. T20I captain Kusal Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana and Eshan Malinga are among the players who have arrived in Pakistan.
The other players in the first group are Kamindu Mendis, Lahiru Udara, Chamindu Wickramasinghe and Dunith Wellalage.
Sri Lanka’s head coach, two players and two other officials are due to arrive in Islamabad tomorrow, while the remaining five members of the T20I squad will reach the capital on Tuesday.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play the first T20I on Friday. All three matches will be held at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 9 to 13 October.
