The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Sunday described President Bola Tinubu as an incompetent leader, stressing that Nigeria has yet to experience what it means to be an independent nation because of bad leadership.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele claimed Nigeria has independence of hardship and hunger, explaining that the government complains more than provides solutions to the nationโs problems.
Primate Ayodele wrote: โWe are not fully independent. Itโs an independence of stagnancy and hunger. Tinubu isnโt competent to be a president, so there is no way the people will enjoy independence.

United States President Donald Trump has threatened lengthy prison sentences for fraudsters targeting Americans through Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security programmes, warning that state and local politicians who knowingly fail to stop fraud could be held personally liable for the losses.
Trump made the announcement in a video released on Saturday, calling on Congress to pass legislation introducing mandatory minimum sentences for people who steal from the benefit programmes.
He said the proposed legislation would eliminate probation as an option for offenders convicted of the fraud.

For nine days, Mohammed Salihu walked through an unfamiliar forest without knowing whether he was heading towards home or deeper into the territory of the men who had abducted him, only to encounter another group of armed men who captured him and returned him to captivity.
That was not the beginning of Salihuโs ordeal, or was it the end of it?
The resident of Tsaragi, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, had already spent months in the hands of bandits after being abducted from his home on May 8, 2026, and his first escape was supposed to be his route to freedom.
Instead, it became another chapter in a 141-day ordeal that saw him move between two bandit camps, survive prolonged hunger and thirst, witness the aftermath of a failed ransom exchange and eventually escape for a second time with eight other captives.
