Manhunt underway: Suspect wanted after critical stabbing, hit-and-run

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knoxville police are actively searching for a 41-year-old man wanted in connection with a critical early-morning stabbing in North Knoxville.

Officers identified the suspect as Corey Huff, 41.

According to KPD, the stabbing happened early Saturday morning at the Kenjo convenience store at 1704 N. Broadway. The victim sustained critical, life-threatening injuries in the assault.

At around 6 a.m. on Sunday, October 4, KPD officers responded to the scene, where they found a man outside of the store who had been stabbed. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Huff was last seen traveling west on I-40 in the pictured red 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Tennessee license plate 672BSFG.

Police said Huff is also believed to have been involved in a hit-and-run following the stabbing in the area of I-40 and I-75 in West Knoxville.

Police urge anyone who sees Huff not to approach him and to immediately call 911 to report his whereabouts.

Detectives have not identified any prior connection or relationship between the suspect and the victim.
