I had heard Lecce was described as the ‘Florence of the South’ before finally visiting this hidden gem in Southern Puglia, so naturally, I was expecting to find a miniature version of the famous Tuscan city.Florence is one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations, famous for its Renaissance architecture, grand piazzas and incredible art.
