Portuguese FA Weighs Six-Month Ban After Ronaldo’s Shock Exit

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) is facing a disciplinary dilemma after Cristiano Ronaldo abruptly walked out of the national team’s training camp following an explosive disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus.

The 41-year-old forward, who has amassed a record 234 caps and 146 goals for his country, left the squad unexpectedly after being left on the bench and subsequently skipping a training session.

Despite last-ditch efforts from coach Jesus and FPF president Pedro Proença to intercept him at the airport, Ronaldo departed anyway.

Under FPF disciplinary codes, any player who unjustifiably abandons or fails to appear for a national team activity or training session faces a potential suspension ranging from one to six months, alongside standard financial penalties.

The situation could now take another twist with FPF regulations indicating he may be banned from playing for Portugal again for some time.

“Any player who, having been duly called up, fails to attend training, a match, or any activity of the national teams or related to the sporting representation of the FPF or Portugal without justification, will be sanctioned with a suspension of one to six months alongside a fine.”

Lol. They should dare try it. Prior to CR7, Portugal experienced 75 years of zero finals, zero trophies.

When he wanted to gracefully bow out and secret plans were on for him to play a final match at home this window out of the 4 games, you guys shifted the goal post.

You want to ban a player who should be retiring from your team with all graces and fanfare.

Please, try it oh. Let me check something. When maradona won the world cup in the 80s, who remembered the name of the Argentina FA chairman or even the coach 40 years after?

The mind boggling decision to print a jersey number with new name in a window was too astonishing though.

You all along had plan to humiliate Ronaldo as ten hag did.
