Three Rescued After Boat Capsizes on Eagle Lake

Three people were rescued from Eagle Lake in Becker County Friday evening after their paddle boat took on water and overturned. A fourth person swam to shore before emergency responders arrived.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says the incident was reported around 7:37 p.m. on the lake southwest of Frazee. A deputy, the Frazee fire chief and nearby boaters helped bring the remaining occupants to safety.

A 70-year-old woman was airlifted to a Fargo hospital. Her condition was not released. Two other adults were hospitalized with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. The fourth person was uninjured.
