Two injured after head-on crash in Floyd County

FLOYD COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Iowa State Patrol said two people are injured after a head-on crash in Floyd County Saturday.

Officials said a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling east on Highway 18 when it lost control and crossed the median, crashing head-on into a 2017 Ford F350.

ISP said the Ford entered the ditch, where its trailer overturned.

The Dodge came to rest in the Westbound lanes.

The driver of the Dodge truck had to be extracted by a local fire department.

Both were transported to local hospitals.

We don’t know the extent of their injuries.
